This is an add for an AR15 on a local area website.  Let me know if I should go for it or not.

"Pre Ban AR 15
Olympic Arms pre ban Ar 15 for sale, has FN upper 16" heavy barrel. Very Clean. keeping my mags, you will have to buy your own. Fixed and collapsable stock included. $1000."

I'm not worried about the mags because I have plenty.  This sounds like a good deal though.  So if the rifle is in good condition, should I go for it?

First you should, click hereto see if the serial number is pre or post.

Then you should see the rifle yourself for conditon, wear, etc.

Price one on the EE board,or go to another website such as www.gunsamerica.com (as of this writing gunsamerica is down} and price one to see if the rifle your interested in is a fair price.

Just my .02 cents worth.

I will definitely double check the serial number on the lower if I decide to buy it.  Honestly, I'm not too familiar with FNs or FN uppers, but I hear they are nice.  I guess that's because I'm all "AR".
