I believe that is a M-249 SAW (Short barrel version) with a collapsable stock.

They don't work worth a damn with the M16 mag or the Beta Co C-mag. It was a great idea though.

To be honest, I saw one that worked great with magazines when I was in...  but that was the only one.  I couldn't see any difference in it and the others in our unit, either.  Maybe something bent differently in the receiver?
