Well, today was the day.  I bit the bullet, so to speak.  Went to my local gun dealer, with the last installment payment and ordered my FIRST AR-15.  A post-ban Bushmaster 16" shorty, A2, with no brake.  I wanted the M4 barrel but that model was discontinued and they were out of them...  Now only a few more things to purchase for this one before I start saving for the next one (I've been reading here for several months, I know I'll have to get another one sometime soon.)  Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way to make the most informed decisions on what to get and what accessories are necessary and which are not.  I should have it in hand early next week, along with my new CQB SOP sling.  Need to get some good M193 and break it in.
