The stock is made by VLTOR. Everything on it can be bought at www.MSTN.biz

Looks like a very functional setup.  Could you please post or PM me the various components that you are using.  I am looking at changing a weapon setup and I think you might have hit on a better solution than I was thinking of!

Thanks in advance.

Wow I'll trade it for a nice shiny quarter! I've got one around here somewhere.... Want two??

Seriously, nice set up. I wish I could get something like that in Cali (or should I say Kali?)

Kudos!

Great looking gun. I too would like you to email me with all of the parts top to bottom that you used. If you don't mind a total cost would be great too. Thanks

Why the full length rail vs the cantilevered spacer and a seperate ARMS 40?  Seems like with what you have it would do the same thing and decrease the weight a lot.

flexabilty. I carried 20"A2 with a m203 for two years so weight is not an issue.

The ARMS rail slides over and screws into the top rail of the RAS making it a more stable platform for optics.

Did you register it as a SBR? It seems that a 14.5 in barrel is just shy of 16 in with a A2 flash suppressor.

I know someone who also has a 14.5 with A2 FH that came that way from the mfg. The mfg. said it meets the 16" requirement and that measurement is taken from end to end of the barrel (as if dissambled) not from where it attaches to the upper receiver or to the face of the closed bolt. Is that correct?

MIKE,

COULD YOU E-MAIL ME A COMPLETE LIST OF THE PARTS YOU WENT WITH ALSO.  WISH YOU HAD POSTED THEM FOR STICKMAN THEN I WOULDN'T HAVE TO PUT YOU OUT AGAIN.

WITH A LIST FROM YOU I WON'T HAVE TO BOTHER WES SO MUCH.  I CAN JUST ORDER THE PARTS AFTER "SHORT CONSULTATION".

ALSO, DID YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE AN M4 BUTTSTOCK ASSEMBLY SITTING ON THE SHELF NOW SINCE YOU HAVE THE VLTOR?  I'M SHOPPING FOR A COLT M4 BUTTSTOCK ASSEMBLY COMPLETE, BLACK.

Did you send your barrel to them or put the front sight on yourself? If you didn't send it, it comes undrilled right?

Nice setup! I like the ARMS #38 optics mount on the RAS setup. Make sure you post another picture after you purchase your surefire M900 tactical light. I know you said you didn't need one but so did everyone else who has one, including myself. [:)]

I hate to ruin your day, but if that is a 14.5 inch barrel, and not registered as a SBR or MG, you may find yourself in a little bit of trouble.  It looks very similar to my 14.5 inch upper, and that is on a M16.  BTW, the flash hider, if an A2, does not extend it to 16"..

it's perfectly legal, and ATF does not recognize it as a SBR. i bet if I got ten people to measure the barrel i'd
get ten different measurements

It is measured from the closed bolt to the end of the muzzle (or whatever is permanently attached to the muzzle).  This info from someone who watched an ATF agent measure a barrel.  I wish I could remember who it was that actually saw it, but I can't...

Nice rifle Mike.  I have preban Colt Sporter LW that is very similar.  It has SIR #45, EOTech 511, VLTOR stock, Hogue grip, and Vortex suppressor.  I have a Laser Devices OTAL on the way and my EOTech is being fixed.  As soon as it is back together I will post a pic.  As far as slings, I have the SOF sling from CQB Solutions and I love it.

Mike,

The phantom will keep you legal.  Look on the bright side, it is a better flash sup than the A2 and only makes it around 1/4" longer.

Where are you going to mount your sling?

I also noticed you like your front iron.  Does it seem to hold its zero?
Link Posted: 6/3/2003 1:42:41 PM EDT
[#42]
i wasn't going to shoot it until the new flash suppressor on. All i hear are good things about the PRI sight. For a sling I'm going with a single mount with Hk style hooks.
