Just got a sweet new AR! Wanted to show it off (plus my fuzzy puppy, who loves guns as much as I do).

Its all DPMS except for the brake.  The barrel is government profile (lightweight under the handguard), chrome lined 1:7" twist, NATO chamber.  The brake is a Wilson Combat compensator, permanently attached by DPMS.  Closest thing to an M16A2 that is allowed as a post-ban rifle.  Gives me the balance and low weight I want, plus a 20" barrel.  It sure beats all the HBAR guns I have handled.  I'm surprised none of the big manufacturers make an AR like this one.  Thanks again to CMMG and DPMS!

Nice... nothing like a new firearm, especially when it's a new AR!  I like the 4th pic... [;)]

Old Tiger,
Yep, the dog is a Maltese.  Great dog, kind of noisy sometimes though.  He's such an amusing critter.

Rambosky,
I have no kids.  I'm 18.  :)

Not to rain on your parade but HBAR is now the military specification when it comes to barrels. They had problems with the Gov't profile barrels heating up and warping. So now HBAR is the military specification according to Bushmaster. Notice almost all of Bushy's rifles are now sold in HBAR not Goverment Profile, they come the closest to Mil-Spec.

Nice rifle by the way. Great looking dog too!

Kurt also sells some muzzle breaks that really don't do anything to effect the gases they just look almost identical to an A2 birdcage flash supressor, might want to look into that as well. Never dealt with Kurt but seems like a lot of people on here have nothing but good things to say.
