Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How to ship a AR Upper?

I am going to ship my bushy upper to KKF to have some work done.  Basically I want  to know how do you recommend shipping it.  I will ship it Fedex because we have a work Fedex account but what I don't know is how to "package" it?  

Any ideas, comments, etc. would be greatly appriciated.

I just shipped mine to Holliger for work.  I found an appropriate-sized box, put the upper in the middle, and stuffed crumpled-up newspaper all around it.  Then I UPS'd it.  Cost about $13 to ship.

Just pack it in tight so it doesn't shift around, insure, and send.

Fed Ex has a triangular "tube" that works great and I think it is free when you ship with them.  It is what MSTN sent my upper back to me in.
