I've tried every single allen wrench I have, and I have a few, not a one fit's it. It seems to be metric.....and seems to be 4.5 mm.

Anybody know for sure?

I use a metric 4.5mm, it works great, but fits just a little loose.

Nope, it's not metric. Sorry.

It's an SAE size... 3/16".  I've pulled mine of a few times for the Hogue Grip, then again to install a Gapper (had to remove Hogue to get it in there right).

Hope You get it off without any problems, it's not locktight'd or anything, so you shouldn't really have any issues....

Yes, 3/16" for the pistol grip screw.
