actually looks like a 70's-80's M16.
can anyone ID the brand of the lower?
what about the scope mount?  LoL

Looks like a Colt Pony to me.

That scope mount, man, the isrealis must give them to the bad guys, looks like it would not work worth a damn.

Looks like a Colt A1??? Could it have been something that we left behind in Viet Nam? I hope it jams and the guy in the pic gets a 5.56 to the head...

yep... by the look of it, the bore axis and the scope axis intersect about, oh, 16" or so in front of the muzzle.  so i guess this AR is set up for REALLY CQB!

well, at least he doesn't have his finger inside the guard.

That scope alignment is terrible. Probably just along for the ride. M16A1 most likely. Looks like a Colt emblem. Could also be the Harrington & Richardson lion. H&R made a quantity of M16A1's. Hydra-Matic didn't have an insignia.
Soldier is from where?? Many lost M16's ended up in Central America (El Salvador/Nicaragua/Columbia) according to the DOD serialization section.
