Colt commando barrel

I want to build a recreation of the colt commando within our stupid laws here in the UK, so if any of you guys have the dimensions (diameter's) of the barrel i would be most gratefull

When you say Colt Commando, what do you mean XM177 (extended flash suppressor), M653 (M16A1 carbine), A2 carbine, M633 or M733 (A1 or A2 carbine with 11.5 inch barrel)?

hmm i think it will be the 11.5" (except with a 12" barrel :-( ) barrel A2 as used by the Israelis,

Israeli folks use just about every imaginable combination as well as some local modifications. Could you post a pic of the rifle you intend? [url]www.isayeret.com[/url] is one place you might look.

Basically the same as this, but I'll be using an Aimpoint ML2, CQB Solutions Tactcal sling, Harris bipod, and a DPMS BUIS (I think that's what you guys call 'em)
due to our silly laws it will be straight pull, which means it will have no gas system and will have to be manually driven :-(
