Since the introduction of our AW Ban Congressional Scoreboard for the House of Representatives 2 weeks ago, we have received numerous positive comments, and we continue to update that data as more information becomes available.
Today we are pleased to announce that the Senate version is now online. As with the House version, there are many blanks yet to be filled in as we receive reports from visitors and elsewhere. But still, it provides a reasonably accurate estimate of how a renewal bill would likely fare in the Senate.
As it stands now, it's virtually a dead heat. When you factor in the presence of Schumer and Feinstein (the father and mother of the federal "assault weapons" ban), who will surely be extremely vocal in their push for renewing the ban, it emphasizes the fact that we need to be sure to let our Senators know how we feel about this issue.
