Has anyone seen these new .50 cal ar's? They are a short .50 cal rounds with a rim the size of a .223 so they use a std bolt. One I think is called a LW .499 but the other I can't seem to find. (I saw it at a gun show) The bullet looked the same but the guy said it was subsonic, and the LW .499 is much faster than subsonic. Could anyone shed some light on these rounds & upper's used for them? They look very interesting.

Actually it uses a 7.62x39 AR15 bolt. I have had the pleasure to shoot a few .50 Beowulf rifles. It is [i]good[/i] stuff.

Thats the one! This one is a little different than the LW.499, it uses the .223 bolt and I thought this one did to so I'm glad you told me that. Do you know what this one has for a muzz. velocity? Also, how did you like it? I'm wondering which one is the better round, they are both very similar. Thanks!
