I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this. I do not want to start a flame war or anything like that,so with that being said please remove this post if necessary. I bought an Colt AR15 Model #MT6700 Serial #CCH018XXX. I've had some people tell me it is an pre-ban,and some tell me it is a post ban. The ones that tell me it is a pre-ban say it was built in a transitional period so it could be sent to states in the postban configuration (upper half). My question is where can I find out for certain if it is a pre/post ban model? Is there a website I can have the serial#'s traced back to production date? I have not talked with Colt about this,as it has just come into play in the last couple of months, and I purchased it under the assumption that it was a post ban model, and did not make that much difference to me one way or the other. TIA Lonestarwj
