The older Aimpoint Comp M XD is NV compatible. The new Aimpoint M2 is night visition compatible.
The older Aimpioint Comp ML XD is not night vision compatible. Neither is the newer Aimpoint ML2. |

What makes these optics "night vision compatible" is simply having extremely low intensity settings for the dot/reticle, so that they are visible using NV equipment without causing "blooming", which is when the NV equipment gets overwhelmed by too much light and either darkens the image too much or shuts down outright.
The only NV compatible Aimpoints are the CompM and the CompM2, and they will be visible with any NV equipment. However, older NV equipment is too large and unwieldy to use with most modern optics like the AimPoint and Eotech sights. To use them effectively, you really need a weapon-mounted NV optic like the PVS-14. -Troy |
