Been lurkin on the board for a few months, signed up last month.
I have been into guns since I was a kid. I used to own a M1 Garand NM which I had to get rid of to pay some bills (either that or sell a body part, it was a tough choice).
Right now I don't own any long guns just a Beretta M-96 and Cougar in 40cal.
But thanks to the knowledge that I am gaining from the broad, when I do make a purchase, it will be an informed one.

Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving.

Welcome. There are lots of Washington state members on the board. See if anyone is having a local AR15.com shoot and get your ass there. Most AR owners LOVE to show off and let people shoot their ARs. You have a great Thanksgiving too!

Welcome aboard!

Sounds like you're going about it the right way. Too many folks find this place when they're looking for help with a rifle they aren't happy with.

I used to do a lot of small bore (ie. .22cal) target shooting when I was kid (44yoa now, ouch. I've contacted the local shooting club and will be making a trip out to see those guys this coming weekend.

BTW, I live on the dry side of the state in the Tri-Cities.

Welcome aboard!

If your in southern washington area, I have many different types of handguns, rifles, and shotguns between me and all of my friends.

It's always good to get your hands on firearms before you buy them.

Welcome M1-Ed,
I'm one of the lots of Washington members that FrankSquid was talking about. Not sure of members in your area, but come into the chat room http://chat.ar15.com some night and ask. There is usually a couple of Wa. members in there in the evenings [:D]

I knew there was a reason I signed up to this site. Everyone here makes it feel like one big family, which it is.

I will definitely take some of you up on your offers. And when I get my guns, I will repay the generosity shown on this board by helping out any Newbie's (or Oldbie's who just want to shoot) I can.
