Does anyone have any experience with either of these carbines?  I am looking to buy one but am not sure which one yet.  Can anyone give me pros or cons on these models?  Thanks in advance for any information.

I just picked up a DPMS Classic Sixteen this past Friday. Very nice carbine, excellent accuracy. I don't have any experience with the Colt you mentioned.

I have a Colt MT6731 made in '99 and my opinion is that this is about the best post ban carbine you can own.  I have had no problems with mine and it is extremely accurate and reliable.  There has been some discussion about Colt's quality control and customer service in the last year but I still feel it's the best around.  DPMS are great rifles, but seems to me they concentrate on budget level rifles and parts, and there is nothing wrong with that of course.
A Colt MT6731 will run somewhere around $900-$1000 which is probably about $200 more than a DPMS Classic.
