Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - ARMS #39 with M4 handguards?

I have an Eagle Arms preban shorty that I just installed a set of M4 handguards on. Will a #39 ARMS mount fit? Does anyone make a spacer that would make the ARMS sit higher to clear the handguards? I was thinking of going to a M4 flat-top upper but I might just keep the original with A1 sights.

The answer is NO, it won't fit anything but the standard handguards.  However, many folks have added a shallow channel in their handguards with a file, which allows the ARMS mount to work.

If you're going for an AimPoint, the AimPoint mount DOES work with M4 handguards.

Answer is yes if you leave the oversize one on the bottom and put a standard smaller one on top. You get a better grip that way because of a small ridge to also grab, instead of the two oversize together that are difficult in wet weather. A lot of guys deployed that way cause it works.
