ive been told on many occasions that some rifle team in arizona colors their rifles purple.

The furniture can be done with the same finish as the metal. The hand guards and buttstock can both withstand 300 deg heat.
I do a good finish on rifles. It is tough as nails and guarenteed. I am now starting to do a very nice airbrushed cammo. email me at [email protected] For more info. Celt |

Actually the team in Arizona uses Cav Arms Purple lowers and furniture.

I have a Bushmaster that was painted in Tiger Stripe by Lauer Custom Weaponery. There website seems to be down at the moment but the address is:www.lauerweaponry.com They are also in the Industry section here. The photo is not very good. The rifle is regular tigerstripe, but looks more "greenish" in that crumby picture. The barrel is black. I think that they may not paint the parts that get very hot. The paint has not rubbed off anywhere, except one tiny spot where the whatchamacallit spring loaded cover over the ejection port rubs against the rifle, that made a teeny tiny bare spot. The paint job is fantastic and I'd like to have them do some of my other guns. They have also painted guns for AntiUSSA and (I think) DVDTracker. Lauer paints the camouflaged Fals that DSA sells www.dsarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=SA58STD&storeid=1&image=sa58standard.gif They were very pleasant to deal with, nice guys. |

What is funny about a high tech finish having a guarantee?
The finish IS guaranteed not to chip or peel. Also coated parts are guaranteed not to corrode in any way shape or form. If it peels, chips or rubs off with normal use, it will be re coated for life. Period. You will find most places that do a serious high tech coating to have a simular one. Perhaps you should look around and find some more information before posting hee haws Celt |
