I have a 20" HBar, but a fluted nitride 20" upper from DSA would be the bees-knees! |
Not to my knowledge, but I will post here if that ever changes. John |

We are working on 20" 1:7 Nitride M4 uppered HBARs right now.

Fluted will be Nitride treated? M4 upper? Most importantly - when will it be available??? edit... looks like this was answered - got too excited and missed it in the post above Love the response from DSA... customers ask, DSA delivers! |

Quoted: My guess is.. No. As the 16" nitride or chrome upper assembly didn't.Quoted: We are working on 20" 1:7 Nitride M4 uppered HBARs right now. They do not come with BCG/CH. John Thats ok never hurts to ask |

DAMN, DAMN!!!! i've got a BCM 20" on a truck somewhere now, i'd rather had a fluted, nitrided barrel. i was gonna send my BCM to adco and have them flute it [approx. $120]––now i'm gonna re-think all this. i have 4 of the DS carbine uppers, and one fluted mid-length––-i like these uppers. oh well––––––when you snooze––you lose!!
i assume these will have the T/C barrels as well??????yes, that's a question.

I thought I was in bad shape... All I have is a DSA M4 stripped upper on a truck somewhere inbound to my house Like you I was going to send my 20" HBar to ADCO to get flutes to match my DSA middy. Now I'm thinking about selling the entire rifle and building a new one around this soon to be released upper! |
$310 for just what i want versus approx. $600 to have the same BCM sounds like a no-brainer to me. i have BCM uppers, and they are fine,, but not to the tune as twice as expensive as the DSAs. i've had good results from the DSA uppers i already have, and highly recommend them––-to myself.well,,,i just didn't know......

T/C barrels would be correct. I ran my 1/7, chrome lined, 16" finally over the weekend and it was a tack driver. I only had a chance to zero at 25, but I had several three shot groups that overlapped each other. The rest could be covered by a nickel and I was using Brown Bear 62gr so not the most accurate stuff out there. Zero malfunctions in maybe 150 rounds. After I zeroed I moved up close and ran some fast drills of double taps on two targets. No problems at all! I love a nice AR.... John |
yeah,, i think these DSA uppers are working out. i know mine are reliable, and accurate. there probably will be one of the 20" fluted in my future, as i am crazy about the nitride finish. i sure hope you guys have started something, in the AR world.

Could the upper be flutted just behind the front site under the handguard? When can we start placing orders?
I called DSA to check on the status of a prior order. Since I had them on the phone I inquired about the 20" uppers.... Available sometime next month!
Please offer this new 20" HBAR without front sights and with a low profile gas block and no handguards.......Sure will make it easier to put on freefloat guard !

Interested in knowing what the difference in weight the flutes make, and the price of a stripped barrel |

When I called DSA a few weeks back, they told me as of now they do not have a part # or price on the stripped barrel. They were not sure if / when it will be offered.
Still standing by for news. Upper is supposed to be released sometime in April! |
I am definitely in for a 20" flattop, and probably the M4gery as well even though I've already got another.
I am told 3-4 weeks is the current estimate. May be April, but sounding like early May. John |
I'd love to do an A4'gery, especially if it's a 1/7 twist chrome lined barrel. Hint, hint...

No updates yet but I will post when I hear something. I plan to build a 20" myself once they are in. John |

I am still being told these will be available in mid to late May. John |
Can't wait to add one of your fluted 20" to the collection! I called today to attempt to check on another order and ask about the 20s... the poor girl on the other end of the line had no idea what I was talking about. Guess I'll wait until they are officially announced as available and then get one on a truck headed my way. Thanks for bringing a solid product to the market at a reasonable price!

Last week I was told they are just a couple weeks out. Hang in there, new stuff always runs a bit late. I should get one fairly early to post pictures. Thanks! John |

My wallet is starting to smolder.......EDIT - an assembled lower with A2 stock would be cool as well, you might as well since you've got the adjustable stock lowers for cheap
