I bought a 16" complete upper with Midwest ind. rail, and a complete lower. They came bone dry so I covered it with a light coat of oil, and soaked the BCG in spray gun oil as well.
I got out to the range today mainly to test fire it, and shoot a few break in rounds. So far I had seen a few mixed reviews, and even reports of damaged brass.
I fired 7 rounds of the cheap zqi 7.62 that's $9.99 for twenty rounds. I only used magpul mbus for sights. I shot at 50yds.
Over all I am very pleased with it, and I think I got a good one. I will update with more shots after I pick out an optic.
DISCLAIMER: I rarely shoot, and never with irons. And this is also with the cheapest ammo you can buy in 7.62. No adjustments have ever been made on the sights.
Fired brass
Target from 50 yards. Ignore the small .22lr holes.
