Everyone knows not to expect fast shipping from PSA. I ordered a carbine upper on the 25th and I got it June 5th. then on the 30th I ordered a rifle upper and I'm supposed to get it anyday now. That's not too slow in my book, and they just had a huge Memorial day sale. |

I understand they are slow and the low price is compensated by the slow shipping and response but it's a little ridiculous. I ordered a complete lower 5-29-14. I also ordered a BCG and charging handle 5-31-14. So on 6-4-14 I get an email stating that they don't have my FFL on file and that they need my FFL to email them with their information. I find this odd because two months ago my father had ordered from them using the same FFL and they had the same problem with him. Anyway, my FFL emailed their info with my order # in the subject as instructed , that email was sent to Palmetto 6-4-14. I emailed Palmetto 6-8-14 requesting a shipping update, I received an email Monday stating that the order was processed and would ship soon, meanwhile I am wondering what happened to that BCG and charging handle I ordered 5-31-14. Both items, after several emails, a phone call, and messages to Palmetto on this forum, shipped yesterday. The BCG is expected 6-16-14, so a little over two weeks after it was ordered. The original order placed on 5-29-14 of a complete lower is expected to arrive at the FFL 6-19-14, so after a 10 day waiting period I will receive the lower a month after I ordered it. I also received an email from Palmetto stating that my lower was processed but it gave no tracking #(I finally have that now) but it did mention a $100 gift card that I never ordered. I checked with Palmetto to verify that this was an error with a thought that it's possible it was a "sorry for the shipping delay" kind of thing, so I didn't use the card #. Turns out it was an error, so the card was not intended for me which was probably just wishful thinking after the frustration. After my experience and knowing of my father's similar experience I would never buy from Palmetto again and would advise others not to. They may make a quality product but after tacking on a $75 out of state FFL fee on top of the incredibly slow shipping time, I would have been better off just buying a lower receiver locally for about the same end price and would not have had the wait

No worries, the fee was expected before I ordered it. And just to clarify, after reading my post again I could see where it might seem like I'm saying Palmetto added the $75 FFL fee. They didn't, that's the standard out of state FFL transfer fee in any gun shop in CA. Sometimes they'll just charge $25 if they really like you. Anyway, I was just saying I could have picked up a Stag arms lower locally and wouldn't have had to pay the extra out of state charge. It wouldn't have been as big of a deal if it wasn't taking a month before I get the lower. Live and learn, and I learned never to use Palmetto again.

jesus. sounds like another reason to move to the free south and get out of CA View Quote Lol, it's been a strong consideration. I do love a lot of things about Ca, my biggest problem with it is the politics and how dumb many of the people can be when giving up their rights. I would rather stay and do what I can to make what little changes I can rather than leave my home. I'm still somewhat young(debatable) so I'm sure there's a bit of foolishness in that thinking lol. I have definitely considered it though |

my rifle upper will be here tomorrow. Two weeks from purchase to door. They must think I'm awesome or something. |
|
Ordered my upper Saturday June 7 and it gonna be here Wednesday the 18th. 8 business days and I'm receiving my upper. That is insane. PSA rocks.

Same here, Upper and bcg will be here tomorrow. Two weeks. They're not always the fastest But I would not call them slow. What weirds me out is everything I have ever tracked from them says 1.4lbs.

I will say, my lower just showed up at the FFL yesterday. I have expressed my frustrations with Palmetto regarding shipping time, which I still feel could have been quicker. Upon inspection of my lower I realized that Palmetto actually installed a bullet button on the lower before shipping, which is awesome because for those who don't live in California and wonder wtf a bullet button is, it's a replacement to the mag-release button that any AR15 in California must have to be legally owned by a standard citizen. It requires a small "tool" to manipulate the mag-release button( bullet tip, allen wrench, pretty much anything small and pointed) so that if someone were to go on a shooting spree it would take them an extra two seconds to reload.
Anyway, Palmetto installed it before shipping. The reason that is awesome is that the FFL would have had to install it themselves before releasing the firearm to me. The bullet button cost $20, the installation of it would have been $22, so Palmetto saved me $42 by installing it before shipping and that was not listed as a standard item included on their site unless you specifically order a "CA Compliant" model, which I didn't. Where I still feel the shipping process could use some work, I do appreciate Palmetto saving me a few dollars, Thank you Palmetto |
