Hey PSA,
I ordered a long gun back on the 26th. our CC was charged right away and my FFL says they still dont have it and have only gotten lowers from you recently. Any chance you can look up this order and tell me whats up and if this has shipped already? I live in Charlotte so i dont think shipping should take but so long. Order date: 12/26/2011. OnlineOrder_00097676 Thanks |

I think any long gun/upper order says about two weeks to build.
their system will automatically print out a shipping label and email you that info. I ordered my rifle kit (complete upper and lower parts stuff - the lower) on 10/28, got shipping notice on 10/31, then then built it and it got to UPS on 11/07, I got it on 11/09. I'm almost at 1000 rounds of XM193 through it with narry a problem. I just ordered several cases of .223 PSP and FMJ for the department and I don't think I'll have any problems with that ammo either. |

I ordered a complete upper on the 27th and received it yesterday but was expecting it to take longer.

The PSA rep that posts on this forum said they received an order for over 1100 rifles from a single customer around that time. They're busy. Give it time. The sale for lowers said that lowers ordered during the time in which you ordered your rifles would not ship until January 15th. I imagine your rifles are similar.

The 27th has only been 7 business days, with the New Year's holiday in the middle, so be a little patient. If I'm missing something here I apologize, but........ |

I can understand busy however if they are so delayed then they should post a notice on their website or confirmation emails/pages. Currently their website says they don't sell anything not already on the shelves and that orders ship within 1 or 2 bizz days. Had there been a notice of a possible extended wait then I would have A. drove my happy ass down there (I am only 45 minutes away) or B. ordered from AIM. Its totally possible that they shipped it and my FFL just has it lost in his stack of shit. If that's the case then cool I just need to find out whether it shipped or not and if not when do they expect it to ship so I can decide if I want to drive my ass down to Columbia or order elsewhere. They responded to my FFL notification the day after I ordered so they had an opportunity to throw in a last minute FYI. From their website. Q: When will my order be shipped? A: All orders usually ship within 1-2 business days. Q: Is my item on back order? A: No, Palmetto State Armory does not allow any type of back order. Our website uses active inventory control to prevent orders for items not in stock. So just looking for an update. I also posted in their sticky and send them a request for update via their website. |

If that is the case then he needs to wait.. I ordered a GSG 5.. i dont think they assemble or test fire those. |

Nope, thats why I am not upset or anything. Its just weird how someone who ordered on the 27th got theirs and mine hasnt even shipped. Its no biggie, just odd. I however can not be "a little patient" like you said because i cant wait to get this bad boy on top of my PSA lower!!!! |

I remember reading something along the lines of 'order before january if you want yours anytime soon" but i think that was just for lowers wasnt it? Either way, im more than happy with PSA. Just cant wait to get this thing together. |

Lowers and complete weapons probably go through a different shipping process due to having to go to an FFL, the guy you're referring to just ordered an upper. Judging by other peoples responses in the lowers thread, people who ordered on the 24th began receiving theirs a day or two ago and more recently, looks like people who ordered on the 25 have started receiving their lowers. I ordered lowers on the 26 or 27 so if my assumption is correct, we should receive them sometime within 3 days to a week. Even though it is stated lower orders aren't supposed to ship out until the 15th, but I'm just speculating |

I know, my order was a complete upper on the 28th, hasnt been shipped to my knowledge.
his was on the 27th and he already received it. Oh well. |

I ordered one on the 25th, not expected it any time soon since its says 15 business day, but received a tracking email on the 30th, saying it would be delivered on the 4th. Tracking results haven't been updated at all, just says that UPS was notified of the package, apparently ups hasn't even received it.

I ordered some parts and ammo on the 27th and later got an email confirmation with tracking number and scheduled delivery date for the 4th as well. Then learned after attempting to track and contacting UPS that they too have not received it yet or any updates for that mater. Now I don't mind the wait and understand they are busy, but not being able to reach anyone via phone or getting a response to my email to find out what's going on with the order is somewhat frustrating to say the least. |

Tracking results haven't been updated at all, just says that UPS was notified of the package, apparently ups hasn't even received it. I've had this happen on multiple occasions. Twice so far with UPS and now with USPS. Sometimes a gentle nudge gets them to actually deliver packages to the respective carriers. I had a CS rep once tell me that my upper was sitting right there in front of him... 3 days after I got the UPS Quantum notification. They're doing massive sales and heard from a "friend" of the owners (on a forum) that they recently hired a new guy to handle sales/shipping. He seems to be doing a better job than his predecessor, and may have to deal with their current system before he can tweak it to run more efficiently. Sending out notifications without actually delivering the goods to the carriers is a bad SOP and hope that's something they are working on. Even though they are way ahead of schedule for my lowers (website Christmas sale ship date 1/15/12), getting a shipment notification and not seeing any movement is a cause for stressing my patience. They're growing... they need to streamline their shipping process, they need to maintain a high level of customer good will and service if they hope to survive. I hope they do, I've been very satisfied with their products. |

But they do have to verify that the FFL you specified has a valid license on file. You realize that once the ffl sends them a copy they keep it for future reference. Even if they didn't they still have to retrieve it from the fax or email and match it to your order. It's an extra step and I don't know if it is a dedicated order fulfillment in parallel or the same person might do a regular shipment too, it's still an extra step. |

I ordered my upper on the 26th and I have not received an email that said it had shipped. I did however get an email with a tracking number but the UPS website says the following "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status––including the scheduled delivery date––will be updated."

I ordered an upper on the 25th and it was shipped today. Almost two weeks to ship something is not cool. I'm not sure why people are making excuses for them saying its the holidays and customers should be patient. The holidays are the same dates every year, its called hiring seasonal help. They have a very high rated product and from what I hear friendly customer service, but they need to have a better business model. Not trying to bag on them it's just a fact.

If you would have read in the description of the upper, it asks to allow a minimum of 10 business days for shipping. Im not crazy about havin towait so long either, but thats part of the deal. |

I did read that when I ordered. Just because they say it doesn't make it a good thing. It's actually even worse that they say it. It means they know they are getting more work than they can keep up with and haven't done anything about it. Be smart, either increase your staff to meet up with demand or raise prices, elementary economics. No "10 days to ship" disclaimer nullifies that. I'd also like to retroactively preface my 1st post with "with all due respect."

So you're upset that they shipped your upper out in less than the quoted time.
The OP, however, has a legitimate concern. |

This was my first order with PSA. It may be my last. saving 30 bucks is great and all but at the cost of questionable customer service is not worth it. update your sticky PSA. Please... |
