Just read an article on American Rifleman that Colt was shipping again. Any one else heard anything.

I read somewhere recently that 6720's might not come back, though.
It's hard to know what to believe anymore. |

Quoted: Some Colt parts just showed up in an email from AU. https://www.armsunlimited.com/Colt-AR15-M16-20-inch-Upper-Receiver-Assembly-p/m16a4-sur.htm https://www.armsunlimited.com/Colt-AR15-M4-Carbine-Upper-Receiver-Assembly-p/sp63528.htm https://www.armsunlimited.com/Colt-M16-AR15-Complete-Bolt-Carrier-Group-Assembly-p/sp64028.htm https://www.armsunlimited.com/Colt-M16-M4-AR15-Charging-Handle-Assembly-p/sp62290.htm View Quote Yeah got a Colt upper receiver today for $150 USD. Not a bad price. Probably buy a few things soon. |

G&R had 14.5” socom barrels today for same price I paid for one from them back in November. But they didn’t last long.

Grabagun has 6920's for $1699. LMAO. They used to be cheaper than AU

Saw they article, folks thought Colt was leaving the market but they said they weren't. With the premiums for parts now, no wonder they are re-entering the market. I bet those folks that scrambled "to buy the last Colts" at a premium are pissed now.

Quoted: Not in the least. Leave at a low, return at a high. Smart business practices. |

Colt never said they were leaving commercial production permanently; they said the opposite, in fact. If someone chose to believe the wailing and gnashing of teeth of the gun store rumormill and web forums and the pearl-clutching by gun Youtubers exploiting controversy for views over Colt openly saying they were temporarily suspending commercial sales while they have a glut of product in the channel to catch up on FMS contracts they're behind on, that's their own fault. They've caught up, and the 12+ months worth of inventory floating in distributor channels has cleared so they're back. Like they said they would be. What a surprise. |

I will buy another Colt SOCOM if they become available again. Best AR I own, and I have more than a few.

Really wish these were OEM 1s..... |
|
|
I thought the OEM2 was disco'd? Shit, I wish I would have seen this. I love the OEM 2, just have to bolt on a C4 rail and GTG. |
|
A number of online retailers have LE6920s in stock, but they're all well over $1000.

Quoted: I hope they bring them back. If Colt were smart (I know) they would make an OEM 1/2 with SOCOM barrels and sell them like hotcakes. Or a pistol OEM 1/2 with 10.3 and 11.5 barrels, it would be glorious. View Quote Historically Colt seems to do the opposite of what would seem to be smart business practices. |

I don't buy it. I will believe it when I see it. Who got 2,000 6920 rifles last month. That is BS.

Quoted: who? I looked at AU, Charlies, Buds, Clyne's, not 6920s. View Quote Google "colt 6920 for sale" and look for the wikiguns or gundeals websites. You will get at least a couple of hits. Besides which, just because they aren't in stock when you happened to read this thread and look for your self, doesn't mean they weren't in stock when the person posted that they were available. I know less than a week ago, I looked at Grabagun because someone mentioned they had some. I saw the price and giggled. But apparently, even at $1600, $1700, or $1800, they still sell out. |

If they released that in an OEM pistol configuration they couldn't keep them in stock. |

Quoted: If you mistakenly assume that they will stay in stock for long, that's on you. View Quote Man that has been the hardest lesson that I have learned in my short time as a collector. In many cases, if you see it, want it and can pull the money together, you had better get it. Depending on the item that run across, it truly may be the last time you see it for twenty or thirty years. |
