Been looking for about year now and finely found a dealer up here in Washington that had NIB LE marked 6450's fresh from recent production. As usual, the 6450 was nice and black from every angle and virgin new with just a couple hairline scratches in the lower receiver which presented really no big deal.
When compairing this new LE model and an old blue lable law enforcement sample i have you can see some of the different changes colt has made over the years, but the gun still remains basically the same.
I noticed that the machine ribb is still present on the back of the carry handle and front end of the handle, simular to older Colt and HR M16A1's i shot year ago during collage days. The ribb is generally removed and has clean lines on my other LE marked guns but this 6450 is a little differnt. In some ways its sort of cool, looks like a military gun.
I figured Colt must be steping up production to keep up with demand, cutting down on some basic machining steps but still producing a nice product. The 6450 cost me 1175.00 plus unkle suger which is ok. Happy Camper indeed. !!
