FA carrier probably not a problem, but......
Are you an M14 fan? Then you would known about the MKS "letter" from the BATF that allowed Hahn Machine to reweld original M14 receivers. They confiscated them ALL from MKS and private owners after they were sold. I doubt MKS would EVER again rely on a BATF letter. I think they are behind bars.
I also place great weight on the fact that Colt knows these will get into civilian hands. I can't imagine they would sell with the M16 carrier if they thought they would become contraband.
However, Colt most likely put these into the LE6920s as they are running out, or ran out of semi bolts.
I see
NO advantage of the M16 bolt unless you have a DIAS or LL. The semi bolts have been in production for decades, and I have only heard of problems from Gregory_K. But then, this IS the kool aid drinking forum
Maybe that's one reason why Colt has been "LEO" only in their stance?
Kinda makes me think of the AW ban. I never heard of anybody getting prosecuted for possesion of one without OTHER charges. I don't think on its own the AWB would stand up in court. However, if you got busted for something else and an unlawful AW part found, the DA would surely tack it on to the other charge. Same thing with a FA part. However, I MAY BE WRONG, THIS POST IS NOT INTENDED TO FEED THE AR15 RUMOR MILL FOLKS
