I've noticed reference to a somewhat rare version of the Colt AR-6520, "Government Carbine". Does anyone have any firm data on production figures, period of mfg., etc. ? I know that the pre-ban serial number range goes up to about GC018500, so I assume that quantity was produced prior to Sept. 1994. Now, what was the alleged rare version ? I've been told that it was the version that included all A2 features, but would like to confirm that fact if possible. My 6520 has all A2 features, AR-15A2 Govt Carbine roll mkgs, bayonet lug & flash supressor, blue label box, with Colt mk'd block in rcvr & came with 2 - 20 rd Colt magazines. ( Serial No. GC0095XX ) I bought it NIB in May of 1993 for $700.00, tax included. Is this weapon any rarer than any other 6520 ?? THANKS. Regards, Dom Pastore Jr.
