Patiently waiting for my 22" 6.5cm in black, with the moar sexy rail, extra mags and that awesome can that everyone keeps talking about.
This will be my first large frame gun and with that, my first venture into the NFA world. Needless to say I'm stoked!! |

in for my 18" 6.5 CM to arrive.
i already have the 22" .260 so i opted for something different. got the extra mags and not the suppressor. while the suppressor is a good price, i already have 3 7.62 suppressors so not going through the hoops for a 4th one. |
|
Soooooo what ammo are people looking at? Hornady 130 ELD-M? PRIME 130? What else?
|
|
In for my FDE 22" 6.5 CM. Got the extra mags because the LaRue 7.62 mags are better than any other and that price was incredible. Passed on the TraQuillo this time since I already have two.

I havent assembled mine yet. How does one get the longer handguard?

Got mine ordered a few days ago. I went with the 18" since I have a 24" bolt gun I built myself. Should make a great combination!! This will be my first LaRue upper. I love the rest of their products and their reputation is beyond reproach. I never thought I'd be able to afford one, maybe this will motivate me to get an OBR in the future

Any movement on these? Sounds like the lower could arrive first - which is not a bad thing.

I'd like one in OD to be different, but the September wallpaper looks sexy in all black. Depends what the OD will look like. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Someone help me choose between 18-inch and 22-inch barrel in 6.5CM. The only other long-range gun I own is my new LT 6.5 Grendel. My local shooting range goes to 1,000 yards.

I think I'm gonna go 18" based on what I read here: https://rifleshooter.com/2016/02/6-5-creedmoor-effect-of-barrel-length-on-velocity-cutting-up-a-creedmoor/

Waiting on a 22" and a lower.
Already have a tranquillo and can't quite convince myself I need 2. |

For the 308, 16" is mid-length, 18' and 20" are rifle length. For the .260 & 6.5 CM, 18' and 22" are extened rifle length. ETA - Just noticed I left the 6.5 CM off the page, adding it now. Meh, haven't got used to having it in my vocabulary. |

Can anyone (Mark?) tell me the ID size (height in particular) of the new longer hand guards on the 22" barreled UU kits? I called CS today and they were very nice but did not know the size. Since the new handguards will cover more of the gas block, which I like. I want to make sure I can fit an adjustable gas block inside the rail. Will be running suppressed and use an adj block on my stealth barrel.
I know SLR made Larue specific set screw spacing blocks for the stealth 5.56 barrels, but I read the set screw spacing on these 6.5C barrels is different (?) than standard (?) which leads me to believe I will need a clamp on style (1.56" high for the .825 size), which has clearance issues with other hand guards. Thanks! |

I'm seriously considering doing this. I've been in the market for a semiauto 6.5CM for a while now and been wanting a Larue rifle.
Ive built lowers but not uppers.. the big thing keeping me from jumping is im not sure I've got the experience to put the upper together. |
|
Have we seen the accuracy of these barrels? And what factory ammo is good? I'm debating between .308 and 6.5 cm.
I have a .308 bolt gun that is a half minute gun, have a bolt 300 winmag and also have the 6.5 grendel larue. Just trying to make a decision I won't regret. I don't plan to reload |
