Nice Shooting!
Went today as well, between the hunter's zero and normal range traffic, it was pretty busy. Shot some Black Hills 77 grain match HP Moly in .223 through my stealth. I now have an official favorite ammo. Was grouping between .6 and 1 inch. Awesome stuff, through an awesome rifle. Looking forward to next weekend, should have my OBR to play with. |
|
Absolutely. Shot skeet with my 1911 (successfully, now and again, I might add!) and shotgun, and shot a butt load of M855 out of my Stealth. I have a target here somewhere....I don't get these 1" groups like I see all the time, though.
Went through about 300 rounds of .223, 100 of .45 ACP, and probably 100 rounds of 12ga. Fun day. Had about 6 other guys go with me, too.

I work at a range. Never got a chance to shoot, though.
Lots of red, white, and blue on today. |
|
Sure did and I took a guy from New York to the range to shoot for the first time. Broke in my YHM can on the AR too. He preferred the S&W M&P 40 over all the choices I had.
|
|
Yup, I'm the manager. Spent twelve hours total at the range and shot a boatload of 12 gauge out of my 18" 870.
Never forgive. Never forget. |
|
Unfortunately or I guess fortunately! My wife is going back to school so I did not get to go to the range today...hopefully tomorrow...that is if I'm not getting copious amounts of PIE for the full day of child rearing I accomplished earlier! I'm sure I'll get out to the range tomorrow.

No - it rained just enough to make it a dreary day not fit for shooting.
The only thing that made it brighter besides my daughter was that guy burning the Koran at Ground Zero. Finally, somebody did it. It's like a "don't push that button - seriously, don't push that button" followed by days and days of bullshit on the news about how it will be the end of the world, and then somebody nonchalantly pushes it when nobody's looking. Classic. Burning books has always been a retarded censorship stunt as far as I know, but this one had a "shot heard round the world" aspect to it and was not at all about censorship. I hope it doesn't negatively impact our military's work in AFG or IRQ or put them in any more danger, but I think anybody this pissed off enough to hurt them was probably already going to hurt them if given the chance. Oh, and I didn't advocate burning anything - please don't try that at home kids. If you advocate it, you will be banned from the site. Thus sayeth 82ND-ABN in the thread he locked in Gen Discussion. Advocate burning bibles, korans, torahs, etc and you will be removed from the website. It's your choice to follow the rules - it's my obligation to enforce them.

Yep,
Guns were shot today on the LaRue compound. After recently dragging the clay thrower out of the weeds and pulling the bird's nests out of it, stuck a fresh 12 volt battery on and it fired right up. ... and today the youngest LaRue got behind that 20 guage and smoked some remote control slung clays. No, we won't ever forget, but can't believe so many have. ETA - Good shootin' Narc |

Got out today and took my Nevada CCW class. Figured there wasn't a much better day to get out and exercise my 2nd Amendment rights than today.
|
|
My daughter and I put some rounds downrange today.
I also visited the local fun shop as they opened on 9/11/07. |
|
Just finished cleaning my guns. I love the OBR. Gave it my 1911 a good workout today. The Hirt and Radway were very decent blasting ammo, 2" groups at 100 yards. Gotta get more of them.

I was at work at 4am and didn't get a chance to go shooting today, it breaks my heart
Good job for the rest of you that did I'll never forget and never forgive any terrorist or action taken by terrorists they are etched in my brain like a name in stone. Yep. I shot ~600 rounds of .22LR, 100 from a marlin 60 and 500 from a S&W 22A at varying distances. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd23/LatexDucky/3%202%202010%20Shooting/Shooting9112010targets2.jpg Here you go OP: http://i52.tinypic.com/2qxqgp4.jpg Thanks Ducky. You used the .223 diameter? |

Does a few pellets through the Gamo air rifle in the back yard count? The kids enjoyed it.

I went to the range too. Tried out the East German Makarov I found at Cabela's last weekend for the first time.

Quoted: Quoted: Thanks Ducky. You used the .223 diameter? .224 I'm just curious. Since he never mentioned "Lite" or "5.56", what made you think it wasn't the 7.62 version? |

A friend and I made a quick trip by the range, we put about 200 rnds though his new AR (in 7.62x39) and about 200 rounds each through my G22, G35 and his XDM40... |
|
Yep. Went with a good buddy and sighted in my M&P15A. After that, started hitting the 14 inch gong at 100m probably 80-85%. Then we went over to the 200m range and worked on the 16 inch gong. I hit that one less, but there at the end, I was probably 50% I'm pretty good with a pistol but I've never been that good with a rifle so hitting that gong felt really good.
Edit. spelling |

didnt shoot, but i did buy a glock 35...
god bless america...Im still pissed, i will never forget... |

Went out for a couple hours to shoot the new shotgun. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e398/unclemoak/Shottys%209-11-10/DSC_9238.jpg Wow, that O/U is nice. I want one and don't have one but have always been amazed at how much they cost. If you don't mind my asking, what is it, and how much does it retail for? |

Ditto on shooting yesterday, but surprisingly Knob Creek was not that packed (and the flag wasn't at half mast)! We just shot a few suppressed "safe queens" and laughed at the PITA Range Officer. The reenactors were out though. It's kinda cool to drive in and see columns of GIs in WWII kit flanking the access road.

The wife and I went out and practiced head shots with handguns.

Retails for about $2700. |

didnt get to shoot, But will never forget, ground zero was basically my childhood stomping grounds !!
lost a few dear friends on the fretfull day,,, and my mom passed at 12:01am , on 9-12-01, from a rare cancer she developed from the first bombing , she worked in the towers and had to walk 70 plus stories down, breathing that smoke and god knows what was in it, it gave her chronic enphasema. and that damed shit smoke caused a rare sinus cancer, how ironic that she died most likely , on 9-11-01 , by the time the doctor / nurses checked her she was already gone, all from the first bomb years before, them bastards need to pay and burn in hell. GOD damm animals,,,,,,,, NO we must never forget, |
|
I hosted and shot a three gun shoot on 9-11-10.

A couple of us got out and tested out a few new (or freshly built) AR's. Would have been a perfect day for some groups, not one lick of wind.
|
|
Late to the party but I enjoyed a round of Skeet with my cousins just prior to his wedding and since the guy running the range made a comment that he had never fired an AR15 I strapped him into one of mine and let him throw some rounds down range.
