I recently purchased a FUG from the equipment exchange but I feel that it may be a clone. It has the black o rings but it doesn't say "Pat Pending," "USA," or "LT" on the top. It does however say LaRue on the side.

cddavis,
I'm gonna send you a real one in trade for that commie POS. The return label will be in the box. And since I'll already have yours here, then we won't be doing this again, so the commies next victim won't be as lucky as yourself. ML |

Mark,
Thank you so much, I don't know what to say other than sorry for all of this, I thought the O-rings were the tell-tale sign of a fake. I should have saved up for another week and purchased directly from you. cddavis |
|
Wow, that's awesome!
Side note: I had some question as whether to purchase a Larue SPR or go with ADM mount my future Millett DMS. There is no question in my mind now as to what mount to get. You have just created a new customer! |

WOW!!! Even Customer service is bigger in TEXAS! You rock, Mark. I will be back for more.
|
|
Unbelievable, could you imagine this world if more companies were run like LaRue?

Reward his generousity by buying direct from them. Believe me, I will from now on. I won't be so lucky next time and I'll be stuck with a cheap knock off piece of shit. |
|
Great customer service! This is how you will get repeat customers and stay in business. You've got my money. I would rather order products from your company even if they are non-LaRue items.
|
|
absolutely amazing customer service
i would expect nothing less from you guys |

I bought my stealth and all my other goodies from mark and the gang because he makes some of the best products out there, but one of the biggest deciding factors of me spending my money with LT was the customer service that knows no bounds....
If I need it and LT sells it, my money goes to them... |
|
Stoner, Browning, LaRue mark your class act will and quality products will certainly make you a benchmark in firearm history !

***Note to self, buy from airsoft company, send pic to Mark, hope for best and say I got bilked...kidding!!! And I am NOT, am NOT!!!! saying this is what cddavis did. Just goes to show what a company LaRue is cause if a person wanted to be so dirty they could buy the knockoff for $20, claim they got taken then get the real deal. But I don't think we have any scums like that here. BTW, to save face (lol), I did buy a FUG, it was direct from LaRue, got ALL the goodies that came in the box, and fully enjoy supporting a great AMERICAN company. The FUG rides proudly on my duty AR. With the purchase of the FUG, it's official, I now have put more of my own money into it in accessories than what my PD paid for the gun...lol.

I've never seen an Airsoft ripoff in person, is the construction of the thing just horrible, or does it have any feeling of "quality"? Obviously it could never be up to LaRue quality, but what I'm getting at is if a guy was new to AR accessories and doesn't know what to expect, could he possibly be fooled or does it feel cheap and like a toy? Just wondering.

I believe it sounds like everyone got screwed in this and that LaRue is awesome. So my question was just one more of curiosity. When you got it, were you like "what a piece of junk", or were you thinking "hmm, this looks decently built but expected more out of it". If this question is making sense? Basically, are these Commie companies getting better at making knock offs look "decent" and could fool some people or is it obvious they are junky?

.. and a metal short cap.
Taking that cap off and on to many times nearly stripped the coin/flathead slot. |

Monoskier, way back in the 80s, I was approached by the designer and made the original mono-skis out of High-density Polyethylene (HDPE). Don't remember his name, but I still have one of the bases put together. The thing he claimed was cool was the ability to rotate the boot on the base for personalizing the fit ?? Of course there's no snow in Austin (except in 1984 for a day) so I was unable to see the unit in action. Anyhow, saw your name and that jogged my memory of past projects. ML |

Wish List:
1 Larue Monoski + bindings that hold as tight as your mounts That's all. ETA on first production model? |
|
Awesome way to post pics. It is scary with the way some of the imposters are able to make stuff. From pictures I can see how you could be fooled if you didn't have a real deal next to it. Glad all worked out well for you and am glad American pride and workmanship stills exists.

the thread quality is one of the bigger things i can notice. cant tell much else by the pictures..

ML Mark, I am a principal in two businesses and I have just made an executive decision... ...any time an employee is confused on which path to take in regards to customer service, I will just have them refer to this thread. It will PROVE to them that I am NOT the only crazy bastard that preaches "customer first". |

I suggest updating the title of this thread with "Spotting a fake" to hopefully help others avoid this issue.

Looks like a damn fine match to me. Looks like its just a clean FUG on a dirty rifle.
I like the look of that rifle....nice and used. I'm still waiting on mine so I can use the dog shit out of it. ETA: Hint Hint I know you guys are busy and it sounds like yall are working ridiculous hours to fulfill all of the orders in a very timely fashion. Thanks for providing such great products and outstanding service. You should give all the folks at LT a nice cold Shiner...after there done working of course. |

Just wondering. OK get the pop corn out, cause I deserve an internet spanking here,......I bought a knock off EO Tec about a year ago, got it as far as the parking lot, and the battery lever broke. So I marched my ass back into the Gun Show, and the guy tried the whole, "Oh eet haus a lyeefe tam ahwahruntee" "jusa sen ah eet in." I kindly informed him the I would pull his scrawny ass across the table, and had to reach for him to get my money back. He remembers my face at the shows still, and when I walk by, he usually steps back. Moral here, ......don't do it. Pony up and buy the real shit. |

It was an attempt to get Mr. LaRue to give some kind of answer. |
