I like how he says he bought it a few months back and its "time to cash in". Furthermore, why do people insist on posting for sale items when they are out of town?
Translation, "I just got the shipping notice saying it will be delivered on xyz date, so I cant ship it till then". In before the "capitalism. how does it work?" preachers. |

I really don't care if he is reselling to make a profit. But at least be honest about it and not make up an elaborate story about it. |

i believe it's against site rules to post something you don't have. Quoted:

The "ignore" button comes in handy when I see listings like that.

That's not the most expensive i've seen, thought I saw one with BCG the other day for 975.
ETA: I'm gonna sell mine for 2 grand and buy one of those FALs and some boolitts. |

So this has gotten humorous enough now. So although there are MULTIPLE uppers listed at more than mine you choose to nit pick the fact I wouldn't be back in town to ship until a certain day? Would you prefer someone not disclose that until you get all excited with a "ill take it" just to find out the person can't ship for another few days? Check my feedback and you would see I typically ship anything that gets sold either same day or next, work providing. As for the one that seems to think it was "waiting for it to come in" , that is further from the truth. If hat was the case, wouldnt i just throw it on GB and set it out for a week or so? I travel approx 40% of the time to lead training sessions for work when new campuses open. When I saw one sell on gunbroker yesterday for $1025ish I figured I mind as well list the one I have. But anyways, back to you guys speculations and assumptions.
$1000 oh no! No pictures, he must not have it yet $1000 Sold $975 Gunbroker Sold listing Another GB listing with same pix (different user) he must not have his either |

I, for one, have no problem with you doing as you please with your property. I agree. Personally, I'd prefer to sell things that want to use the parts for themselves instead of flipping it, but there's no way to police it and in the end there's nothing "wrong" with doing it that way. |

I think you guys should raise prices. But, then you'll be called 'gougers'. So it's kind of a no-win situation...I don't envy any company in the gun industry right now because it's tough to do the 'right' thing for everybody. |

Keep the prices low, which is great for you *if* you can get your hands on the product. Or raise prices to remove most of the incentive to flip product. With higher prices, Aim will still sell the product, as evidenced by the ability for someone to flip at the higher prices. It's a no win situation because either way there's a lot of complaining. I obviously don't know Aim's financial situation, but I'd rather see them stay in business than keep selling out the little stock they get in a matter of minutes. The point is, I have no problem with vendors raising prices to smooth out their cash flow at a time when it's damned hard to just get product in to sell at all. Don't forget, there's also a cost involved for someone to camp out on the computer all day to actually get stuff at the great prices Aim has. If you don't want to, or can't, put that effort into it then you have a few options. You have to decide how badly you need a particular item and what it's worth to you in terms of money as well as time. |

It's not how we roll. And that is appreciated. I trust that you're moving enough that your low prices aren't hurting you. Hopefully it stays that way. |

Oh for Pete's sake...
There's nothing wrong with selling your property. If you want to take advantage of AIM's low prices and then flip it for more, that's your prerogative. The problem is ultimately THE MARKET. If I buy an upper at full retail and then sell it on GB starting at a penny with no reserve and it sells for $1k then that's the market price. But you can't do an auction on the EE, so the seller's just selling it at MARKET price. If he's morally OK with it and will sleep fine at night, then there's nothing that can be said or done. You all know how much he got it for, so if you think he's asking too much, don't buy from him. |

If someone weighs the same as a duck, they're made of wood. And therefore, a witch.

Yes, but that's bc this is a hobby/lifestyle for me, not a business in which I try to make money from. I've never sold a gun in my life, they're worth more to me than what I could sell them for, obviously not in these times, but I refuse to further support this shitty fear based market. My personal choice, and buying to sell for a profit is yours, but it doesn't mean I'll respect you for it. Thank you AIM once again for not encouraging this market too. It shows you have faith in your business model. |

It's a hobby for other folks as well, it's just that some of us don't have deep enough pockets to enjoy it like maybe you do, some judicious buying and smart selling along the way has been absolutely necessary to work our way up to a higher level. And ain't that the American way? You may think selling for a profit is "lame", but I would submit that your logic pre-supposes a certain level of minimum wealth inherent to all gun enthusiasts, and that's simply not the case. You may not respect those who sell, but I expect you'll be happy when they are guarding your back with the guns they traded up for. |

Absolutely beers, first round's on me....as soon as I sell my 1000 dollar dissy on the EE.
|
|
|
Wait. Beers? I've got a few of these set aside for when you get to Anchorage.
|

they are very nice uppers. I assume they don't come with the spike buffer anymore, correct ?

Well there goes my dreams of massive dissy profit on the EE, wife caught a good look at the upper today, decided she wanted to try it on her lower....
the really bad thing is, it was me who was the Spike's afficionado to begin with, and now her rifle is 100% Spike's and mine is a frankengun... |
