First because IMO it shouldnt have left like that. Second, why not? Because the respectful thing is to give them a chance to make it right. That's how we roll on this site. After you have given them a chance, it's customary to post up an AAR. |
|
Ohok, well I was unaware of how to roll.
sent email. I'll see what happens and post back. |

Why are you posting that here and not contacting Paul? You're only allowed to post good things about your BCM purchase. You are allowed to show us a perfect condition purchase that you're happy with, not one that your not. You are allowed to sing their praises (which they are usually worthy of), but you must keep their rare turd to yourself.....these are the rules. OP, thank you for your post....I'm a big believer in the free flow of information. Now call BCM and they'll make it right. |
|
/\ haha nice!
Well like I said I did contact them. I will post back what all is going to be done. Like I said, Im just an everyday joe. This is my first AR, and I did not want to spend the amount of money I did on it. But through everyone's opinions alot told me to goto BCM. I did. I spent the extra cash and thought it was going to be the right move. IMO BCM is touted as the next best things in ARs. At 1000 for an upper receiver group that things should be double triple checked before leaving. |

"I'm not going through all of that." Going through all of what? They will most likely send you a return tag, pay for the shipping and get you a new product out in short order. Sometimes I don't understand the thought process of some people. I wish every complainer out there knew what it was like to run a business. |

IMO It shouldnt have left out like that. if you're not going to see if they'll make it right (edit: he sent an email and when he doesn't get an immediate reply he'll cry that their service sucks too), stop whining about it. the rail damage may have happen during shipping. how can they control that? the mill marks are common to all AR's. pick up the telephone Monday and call them. wow! |
|
Gotta love ARF.com..
E-thugs haha.. It should not have left there like that. Thats how to run a business.. I can exploit negative experiences if I want haha. Bottom line is that it should not have left like that. Ok then fine on the mill marks, but the finish seems super thing too there. And even that is alright. |

Some folks get real sensitive about their "sacred cows." Funny thing is, many of the same folks don't even own one of the sacred cows they're defending. I do not own any BCM products....other than a couple of spare extractors. I do own a Colt, a BM, a RRA, and a Spikes. Based on what I read and my conversations with others, I would buy / own a BCM product if I wanted another AR. They have a terrific reputation. But even the best organization can and will put out a less than stellar product on occasion, there are no exceptions.
I hope they get you fixed up quickly. |

No way in shipping. that thing was packed like a mofo in bubble wrap and then box was good.

Of course the fanboys are going to say its not BCMs fault etc. |

I've never bought anything from them that I recall, though I do remember intending to one. So I have no loyalty here. You're right, it shouldn't have left like that. Second, if you're happy enough with it to keep it, then why are you being a crybaby? Let them fix it or stop crying kiddo. It's that simple. |

No way in shipping. that thing was packed like a mofo in bubble wrap and then box was good. If it was busted open in shipping, then shippers would have re packed it in a manner you describe. Fed Ex and UPS both have "repack" shops in their facilities. So no, you don't know that it wasn't shipping. |
|
|
Actually yes I do the box was FINE. and it has the original threaded packing tape. No other tape was applied.

I am sure the owner of the company will be along to answer you in this thread. This is one of the reasons I buy their products.

any one know where the BCM quote that says
"if you want a pretty rifle don't buy from us, but if you want a rifle that works...." (quote may not be exact)? |
|
What are you not understanding is that it should have not left there like. Fuck the damage, it will happen sooner or later. I dont want anything in return. Just to say it came like this. And of course the fan boys are going to say it did NOT leave BCM that way. But to each his own.

Actually yes I do the box was FINE. and it has the original threaded packing tape. No other tape was applied. Pay attention. I used to work in repack at UPS. Our goal was to make it look as it did when it was shipped. The number of boxes, types of tape, ability to make labels etc was amazing. It would be impossible for you to tell it was repacked. |

Any manufacturer has the capability of letting a bad item slip out. Demand is high for them all.
Any manufacturer should have the chance to make it right before getting flamed. I was guilty of this before I learned better. If the manufacturer does not make it right, flame away. Dave |

Cool haha. Why? It should have not left there like that. If it did leave there like that, then, no it shouldn't have. Still a possibility that it was damaged in shipping. Either way whats done is done. The damage happened either at BCM or in transit. What matters now is what the comapny does to make it right. You say you don't care about them making it right so you just want to come and complain. This makes you an unreasonable person and a waste of space here. |
