Anybody have any info on the GSR? Not much out there. I bought a 24” Barrel Model. 6.5 Grendel. Thanks

Nobody has ANYTHING on these?

A Friend has the 24” AA 6.5 Grendel and it is 1:9 twist chrome moley barrel.   Pretty accurate and has been shot mostly with hand loaded ammo.  My Friend has taken numerous antelope in Wyoming using a hand load with 120 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip Accurate 2520 and CCI 450 primers.   I know he took an antelope at 416 yards a few years ago and basicall DRT.    He recently bought an18” 6.5 Grendel which he used to take another antelope last year at over 300 yards the same load.

I’ve shot the 24” 6.5 Grendel and it is very pleasant and smooth shooting AR-15.   I chose a 20” Shilen barrel but I’d buy a 24” if the price was right.

We chronographed several loads out of our 6.5 Grendels a couple years ago.

The AA GSR is the premium model with a lot of top features, starting with a cut-rifled barrel.

The ones I've shot have been 20" and 28" models (older option) that a forum member and good friend has brought to BoomerShoot over the years.

Both are extremely accurate, and swinging the IPSC flagger target at 700yds became boring.

He's shot 7rd and 8rd groups in the .2s with the 20" using 8208XBR and 107gr SMK.

The side charger and beefy billet upper combined with a bedded cut-rifled barrel, bedded gas block, high end gas tube, and the trigger make for an extremely accurate rifle.

They usually come with a PRS too.
