I had pretty much decided on an ATACR 4-16x42 as the first choice, paying up for a 4-20x ATACR(even though I like the 4-16x turrets more) or up even more for a Schmidt 5-20x ultra short, other less attractive options were the MK5 3.6-18x or Razer Gen II but I really didn’t want to compromise on an illuminated reticle or pay that high of weight penalty. I really wanted a Tremor 3 reticle for this gun so that really limited my options and working backwards from that is what led me to the Steiner. It was significant less expensive than everything but a used razor or the MK5(still a little less than those) and checked almost all the boxes. It was a price I was willing to take a chance at and while there isn’t a lot of info or reviews on than they seem to be well built and well received. It seems like most of the negative publicity is directed at the T5Xi. |

If you were able to get it for around the price of a used Razor, you got it for about what I think they are worth. They are not bad optics, just not at the price of a Nightforce for me. |

Looks like Peacemaker is much closer. I may have to go check it out for a weekend some time though.

I'm about right in the middle of the two peacemakers is a little closer but only by like a half hour, when I was trying to join somewhere I was looking at both. I have family in Carolina and other friends that are members at colemans and Im a member at frontline so it just made a little more sense for me. Never got to make it out to peacemakers but I hear its great. I love colemans though and the staff are excellent as well highly recommend checking it out!

I have some new parts in order for a full build, but decided to throw together stuff I had. Mostly old parts expect for the TriggerTech, Spuhr, Meopta scope and XLR Stock. |
