About 9 months ago I had a smith bed a McMillan stock to a Remington 700 AACSD. I've been happy so far. Today I decided to swap the existing old style (non X mark) Remington trigger for a Timney 510. I've got the Timney installed but the gun doesn't fire with the stock installed. It will fire fine with the action out of the stock. During my troubleshooting I noticed that the trigger shoe is ever so slightly rubbing up against one side of the opening in the bottom metal. It obviously isn't centered in the opening, being very much over to one side. This probably wasn't as noticeable before as my previous trigger had a more narrow shoe. So is this a problem? Do I just relieve the inside of the stock or is this a bigger problem that could also be impacting accuracy?
Thanks
