Any opinions on the Vanguard S2? I am looking to purchase one in 270Win.
It will be used for hunting and occasional target shooting. |

I have it in .257 and the rifle shoots fantastic. In fact I am going through and thinning out many hunting rifles now and it is one of my 10 or so keepers in very good company.

I have the original in .270 and the s2 in .270 as hunting rifles. Love them. Pretty accurate for the price . Buy one !

Update: I got the S2 in 270. It is a shooter.
Next will be a stainless 257WBY mag. |

i remember a few years ago those were "the" deal. nowadays we are lucky to have tons of cheap incredibly accurate choices as well (Ruger american comes to mind)

I just bought one of the S2's in .243 with a walnut stock
haven't been able to shoot it yet but the new S2 triggers really feel good I already own an older Vangaurd in .223 and while its trigger is a bit gritty that rifle still shoots really well, so I'm looking forward to see what the new S2 will do |
