How big and tough is that hog? My experience is that hogs are not that tough normally so the Federal 180-gr Trophy Bonded 10mm load hits between 357 and 41 mag levels of performance and it shoots well out of my Glock 20.
If you have a tough old boar and this 10mm is a backup - then I like the 230-gr hardcast loads from Doubletap. These SOBs don't expand but they break bone and penetrate deep. This is the load I carry when I am backpacking in bear country (unless I have my 454 Casull on my hip that is). Try the Federal load - hogs are not that hard to kill. |

Herters makes some pretty warm loads that are loaded to the original factory specification and not the watered down crap that you find from Federal or Hornady. Buffalo Bore makes a hot 180gr Gold Dot load that is pretty decent as well. Double Tap also makes some good 10mm ammo.
If you were going to be reloading I would say use a 200gr XTP over a max charge of Blue Dot. I load both the XTP and a 200gr Cast bullet over Blue Dot. I'm shooting them out of a Kimber Stainless Target though. |

For hogs, I'd want the biggest, heaviest slug I can find. The 230-grain hardcast from Doubletap is just about as good as it's going to get for a 10mm. AFAIK, it's the only 230-grain load available. And in a 20, loaded with 15+1 of it, you can actually feel the extra weight.

Underwood hard cast 220 grain worked just fine for me a couple of weeks ago

If I were limited to factory loads I would probably use the Federal load mentioned a few posts above or something heavy from Underwood.

It meters very poorly due to the very being a very large flake powder so you have to weight each charge but it works very nicely. |
