Title says it all. Any decent hog hunting in / round Michigan or should I make the voyage to Texas & that area? I have family in TX that has issues around their property, but a trip to TX is tough to schedule in.

I think Northeast Michigan has some feral pigs.  I Don't exactly recall what my water and woods magazine says, but it seems a lot of those pigs are domestic escapees.  They have guided hunt there.  I think Wood and Water or vise versa is the name of the magazine.

Edit:  the magazine talks about wild hogs in the main section, but you can find the outfitters in the back (advertisement section)

google search wild hog hunts michigan

looking at the number of sightings and reported kills for 2011 in michigan...  quick est is under 40 wild feral hogs killed in  entire state in 2011.   Just a couple nights out with dehog in texas you can see over 40.   Long story but 2 weeks ago a landowner and I were on a pack of 20+.

you probably need to buy a hunt in michigan.
