40 meters is packed very tight due to the contest and VA QSO Party. FYI. I'll try to get on a bit earlier to "own" the frequency.

Also only hearing a few faint voices through S8 noise on 20. Haven't heard anyone strong enough to carry on a QSO with. Maybe we'll have better luck on 40 later.

I contacted net control just fine, S9 both ways. But I couldn't hear even a single other station on frequency.

Hung around for fifteen minutes and only heard one station in Colorado. Had a nice copy on him.
I called many times from Gulf Coast. Will try on the next hour on 7.213 |

I saw a big peak on my scope. There is a QSO happening in Spanish on 14.280 and I can here both sides. I don't know where they are. I don't speak Spanish. Maybe 20 meters is really long this evening.

Someone on 7.210 is really wide and powerful. Other than that 40m is in pretty good shape right now. I hope it holds till after 8:00.
