Need more info. Are you trying to reduce voltage from 12.5v to 8v. You cannot transform DC you would need a resistor.

I want to Lower voltage from 220Volts (main power) Down to feed 8 Charging Craddles for HT's, each craddle is supposed to be fed 12.5 volts DC.
The craddle themselves output to the HT 8.5~volts and 400-450Ma. Instead of having each craddle with its own 12 volt transformer/power supply I want to have all 8 with one mains power supply so it will only take up one wall socket. |

What is the ratings off the current power supply to the cradle?
A Transformer is an AC device so you need More than just a transformer to build your power supply for the cradles |

Sorry, Forgot to mention not inside the states atm.
Using 230-40 AC here. The current output is 12V DC 1000Ma |
