Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - FT840

Had a close lightening strike last fall that disabeled my 840.......thing still powers up....front end is silent and it will not transmit.    Since replaced it as I was insured and didn't want to fool with it.   Has filters and FM board.   Cosmetically perfect......just like the dumb blonde that can't cook!

Hate to just junk it, anyone hereon have any notion of a failr asking price?

I wouldn't mind having it for the filters and board. I have no idea. Depends a lot if the FM board is good or not.

If the FM board and filters are for sure good, I would sell it for the price of those parts.
