I was wondering if anyone has ever modified a cell phone GSM antenna for use on the 2.4 GHz band. The particular antenna I'm trying to modify (mainly because it's just sitting around) is a Wilson high gain model. http://wilsonrepeaterstore.com/wilson-301103-301125-301128-antenna.aspx

GSM antennas cover 3 bands so they have traps to help them resonate in the desired band. Just cutting the antenna probably wouldn't work terribly well because of them. If you have one and an antenna analyzer I say go for it, but there are so many cheap WiFi antennas out there already I wouldn't buy one for the purpose.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks for the input.
