Four local radio clubs held a tailgate sale today and I drove over to see what was to be had. Not a whole lot to look at but some good deals to be had.

Here's what I picked up (pictures later):

Two SWR/Power meters, one 100w, one 200w, for $5 per (came from a SK's estate––the seller only wanted $5 total, but I don't like taking advantage of widows and orphans, so I gave him $5 each).

Cushcraft AV-5 vertical antenna (I was told it was an AV-3 10/15/20m antenna, but got it back home and pulled all the parts out, and it has (4) traps, so that makes it an 10/15/20/40/80m AV-5) for $30.

I also got a large roller inductor and a nifty gear driven spinner knob for the tuner I'm thinking of building.

Now, I got to find the time to install this vertical antenna. Oh my life is so difficult.

I was going to go, then blew it off.  Instead I worked in the garden.
