I'm wondering if it is necessary to include O2 absorbers when vacuum sealing dry goods like beans/rice etc.  I have a kick ass food saver that really does a good job.  All of the beans and rice that I have done so far have turned into solid bricks when sealed.

Are you sealing them in plastic or mylar bags?

My understanding is the plastic bags will eventually begin to allow air back in.
