The kids love flour tortillas, they're simple, taste good and have a ton of uses. Anyone ever make any?

I've made them a bunch, we used to do it when we craved Mexican food when I lived in a part of the world where it wasn't available:

2 cups flour
1/4 crisco
2/3 cup warm water
1/2 tsp salt

Mix all together until the dough forms a ball and comes out of the hands easy.

Shape into balls and put in the fridge for 15 minutes, covered with plastic.

Press with a tortilla press and cook on a griddle.

Cast iron tortilla presses are available at lots of supermercados, but I really love my teflon/electric one because it presses and cooks in one step and you don't have to use plastic over the cast iron.

Perfect! Thanks much, we're going to try that this weekend.
