cant find much about it online, other than it doesn't have a voltage regulator.  this is NOT something I would buy (found some shopping results in the $250 range, el cheapo).  but it was free, just wondering if I should mess with it or toss it for a real one.  it is brand new, never used.

thanks

Pep Boys was just about the only store that was selling "Nikota" branded generators, a couple of years ago.

(Have you ever seen Pep Boys sell anything that was worth a poot?)

They were also sold by Costco; I bought one.  Honda clone engine.  I haven't used it much but so far so good.

free is good. Even if you only keep it for a back up.

Keep it until the next big storm: it'll be worth a quick $300-400
