Hooked up with a company last week that sells their 55 gal drums that are used to ship food product. They are in Catskill, NY  You have to pick them up, they don't ship.
The steel drums basically held tomatoes (in a giant plastic bag) most were very clean.
Blue plastic drums had the same.
Both of the above are open-top, with plastic lid and steel locking ring.
They also had white plastic barrels with closed lid. (Bung opening) that held canola oil.
The steel barrels were $5.00
The plastic barrels are $15.00

If you're contemplating your rain collecting for your garden, this is handy and cheap.
