I was reading another Coleman thread and the use of ethanol added gasoline was mentioned as not being
good for the older model lanterns. Can the older 1s be retrofitted? Any good Coleman forums out there?

I dont know if the older ones can be retrofitted with new seals.  I dont see why they couldnt.  I would call Coleman directly with your dual fuel model number and they can tell you what parts to order if it can be done.

+1 on calling Coleman directly.  The staff there are a wealth of information on their products.

If you happen to have an older piece, you may need to ask who is most familiar with that vintage product––usually
there's someone who's the go-to person for certain products.

I've never found them to be anything but extremely helpful!
