A guy I've worked with for 20 years just came up to me out of the blue and told me he just found out he has some kind of blood cancer and started chemo. If you have your health, your life doesn't really suck all that much, no matter what you may think.

Yup. My co-worker with three kids under 10 at home just had his left year completely removed (even the entire canal) and replaced with a graft from his leg. They already know he still has cancer spots on his lungs as well.
Those kind of health problems are very difficult to survive- literally, financially and emotionally. Best to your friend. |

Amen to that brother. Chemo is absolutely no fun, and is really brutal because the drug border on toxic.

I recently was diagnosed with cancer
 but to make up for it my employer announced a major downsizing
