Bumped into this one this morning.. Scott SARI full face masks for $27.99 plus shipping.
Full kit accompanies the masks (filter, pre-filter and electronic voice amp). Here is a link to the Ebay Store of the seller: stores.ebay.com/Netverk-Solutions No, I am not affiliated with the seller! I just found this to be too good a deal to pass up, and thought it a crime to not share it with those here. |
I'm thinking about picking a couple of these up, but can't find shit in the way of reviews etc. Anybody know anything about them beyond the information on the scott website?
I just picked up a 3 pack for $25 ea. Seems like a steal at this price.
Shipping at $16 each is a bit stiff but still a good price.
196 left. |
Not to mention the voice amplifier. |
I paid $9 shipping total for three of them |
Dang ... mine defaulted to priority US mail. Must have been an option to down grade. |

Son of a bitch, I need to pick some of these up and I'm effing broke for 2 more weeks
Good point on the price of the filters... $39 ea
www.nbcsafety.com/filter-scott.htm Just the filters are worth it... Its like buying a filter and getting a free mask Found a company selling the masks in the UK, 59.95 pounds sterling ($118.65 USD)! Page 6 www.smhproducts.com/documents/Scott_Respiratory_Prices_Sterling_2007.pdf |
The filter says "for powered air purifying respirator" ????????
they are SEA Domestic preparedness filters. they should be fine. IIRC those filters are rated for positive pressure respirators as well. it's been a long time since i dealt with such things but IIRC powered filters have to be rated for a continual airflow rating that regular filters don't. <i may be wrong about that, it's been about 15 years or so> |

Ordered 2 best deal on a 40mm nato I have ever seen. I got 3 M17 ripoffs here now keep 1 in the car and I paid ~$18 per for those, and we know the problems they have but I figured they where better than nothing. I'll be happy if these work out ok.
FYI, found some C2A1 filters for a good price to go along with um ;-) cgi.ebay.com/Lot-Of-5-New-Military-NBC-C2A1-Gas-Mask-Filters_W0QQitemZ180225149732QQcmdZViewItem |

I'm in for 2 - appreciate the comments from The-Beer_Slayer |

Can you shoulder a rifle and cheek weld while wearing one of these?
Never handled one of these before but from what I know about masks I have worn and shot with - I doubt you would be able to get a suitable sight picture. I could be wrong though. Masks with the center mount filters tend to be very difficult to impossible to get proper sight alignment. The more you press the rifle to the face, the more you push the filter out of the way - you typically end up breaking the seal of the mask while trying to get a sight picture. Even with the old school M17A1 we had to shoot nearly "gangster style" with the rifle at a 45 deg angle to get a sight picture...even then scoring solid CNS hits was a challenge. One other thing that shouldn't be overlooked - there is no drinking tube attachment that I have seen. This seriously reduces the masks utility value. Anytime you are in a protective posture you will get hotter faster and thus need more fluids faster. Being able to drink while masked is important. None the less - for the price and quality...these aren't too bad. I could see having a pair in a BOV. NBC survivability is a crap shoot at best even with great equipment. Something like this mask would get you through temporary low threat zone for the short term things like a nasty chemical spill or riot agents so long as you were 'passing though' the area rapidly. I wouldn't want this mask for any long term exposures. For a shelter in place or a bug out through a hot area it would be better than nothing but not being able to drink and most likely not being able to get a good sight picture puts this mask at much more of a secondary role in my book. I agree that the filter alone is probably worth the price but I would sell the masks off with all their accessories and buy a very good condition M40. |
there is NO such thing as a mask that will let you get a proper sight picture.
i have tried them all and it simply doesn't exist. honestly if you need a mask AND and rifle your in deeper shit than you can handle anyway. |
not trying to "own" any page 2, but...
Is there any way to tell if these are non- (or poorly-) functioning counterfeits? I don't know that I'll ever use them for more than a heavy dust situation, but I would still hate to have them fail at the worst possible time. -WhyTanFox |
not officially until the come in but the advertisement shows a SEALED S.E.A government contract mask kit. |
Whelp, I just went in for five of 'em some hopefully they're more than paint ball play things :-)

I think you guys are out of luck. There's only 1 regular mask and 12 SMALL masks left. I have 6 regulars on the way. I had emailed the seller about purchasing a 10-pack. I got a reply saying that they were almost sold out, so I checked again and bought the last 3 pack that was available. I have a feeling this was a deal of a century.... |
make that 0 regulars and 10 smalls |
Yeah, that would be awesome. |
Seeing how fast they went makes me glad that I bought mine before posting the link here
Something tells me that the seller is up to his ears in shipping boxes about now... |
im curious what government agency dumped seemingly good equipment with plenty of remaining shelf life, for pennies on the dollar.
Yeah, wouldn't suprise me if they take a little while to ship now. He was probably counting on the sale lasting months, not days. |
That's alright. Saves me some money. Unless you're going to have some pet birds, without proper detection gear, a gas mask is pretty worthless anyway. |
Keep tellin' yourself that. You'll feel better, honest... |
Dammit. Can't read for shit. I was all happy that I got one, then I looked again and I bought a small. I asked him to cancel the order, if he doesn't, check the EE.
Make that 3 smalls (I bought 4 smalls but need one regular for me...) Did anyone buy some extras that can sell me one regular? Thanks Brandon |

IF the person/people you are trying to engage don't have a mask, then it won't matter That is, if there is something lethal airborne |
Where are y'all seeing small vs. regular?
I ordered 2 and nothing from ebay refers to the size........??? Except for the seller's statement concerning the pics shown are an adult size? Maybe I need new glasses? |
he had 2 different ads. the small sizes had SIZE SMALL in biold erd letters. if your add didn't have that they are regulars. |
