The other day I noticed one of my tires was low.  I got out my 12 volt compressor, plugged it into the vehicle's power receptacle, attached the hose, turned it on and everything was good...until the hose broke.  I turned the compressor off.  Examination of the hose showed that it could not be repaired.  I had a spare 12 volt compressor.  No big deal, just a good lesson in checking your equipment.
