Got 10% from my medical board for a jump injury in both legs, Ive got a claim in with VA, and if they follow their own rules and regulations for what is in my medical record I should get another 25%.  Waiting on an appointment to see if what I think is Malaria actually is that or some other dam tropical present that has decided to pick my body as its host

Do not ...I repeat do not let the VA adjudicate your claim (It is always in "their" best interest to deny or minimize your claim...join a service organization and let one of the National Service Officers represent you... I highly recommend DAV (Disabled American Veterans)..but there are many other fine organizations out there..VFW, AmVets,Purple Hearts, PVA (Paralzyed Veterans Association) Sorry if I missed any...but my point is...find your self a good NSO ....

Ditto.
American Legion got me 20% for a bad knee.
Me vs the VA just out of the service? I would have gotten the finger.
My knee hurts some, a lot when I climb a lot of stairs, but the tax free $200 a month is my wife's and my yearly all inclusive resort trip for a week to sandals in montego bay. That helps the pain.

I have some hearing loss, and knee/hip problems but they(the VA) gave me a 0%. Never pursued it any further, don't really know where to start.  I've been out for almost ten years.

20% for back, 3 surgeries under my belt (no pun intended).  U.S. Army (85-93).  The VA has put me through 3 years of College for my Electrical Engineering degree, I will finish the last year out on my own.  One day I may have the DAV try and up my % rating as I was given 20% after the first surgery.  Glad to be a Veteran.

The key to it getting the disability, is making sure it is documented BEFORE you get out. Once you are out it is almost impossible to get them to help you.

30%
10% for a bad eye
10% for flat feet
10% for ringing in my ears

Damn, ringing in the ears is worth 10%? I'll have to check into this. How about high blood pressure? I know they told me that after my discharge physical, and I didn't have it when I went in.

I thought the military would instantly
disqualify you from service because of flatfeet/
low arches.Did they allow you to get a waiver to
join or do they not care anymore?

USN 1971-1980.

Received "Fit for duty" from 2 Med Boards.

Discharged Aug 1980 after 9 1/2 years as an E-6, joined DAV as a Life Member and went to VA using DAV as my voice.

20% Back
20% Neck
10% Nose
0% Left Ear

Total combined = 40%

Use the NSO's.  That's what they are there for.
